You know what is right and what is wrong, you know what a good person does and what a good person does not. Only those who can not discern this need consultation from others. The objective is there and we each must attempt to live up to it as best we can. I know where the goal is and I try to achieve a standard close enough to that such that I can be satisfied with myself. No one is perfect, no one can perform at the optimal level all the time. You get closer than most, you get far closer than I. I call it an objective because I feel it is objective, there is truth, undeniable, in the measurement of proper behavior in almost all instances, when there is not, we call that dilemma. In instances of dilemma either reasonable action is acceptable. Proper action and behavior is NOT SUBJECTIVE, so don’t let yourself be swayed by the opinions of others, they can only sway you into believing you are more beholden to them (guilt and manipulation) or attempt to convince you that you are striving too hard (a desire to bring you down to their level). Only you can judge your actions and behavior against the standard, only you can judge yourself and determine your level of satisfaction against that standard. As long as you reflect each day on your successes and failures and strive to be better, anything anyone else says to the contrary is meaningless. TRUST IN YOURSELF! That is what was taken away from you, only you can win it back.

I love you!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
